Embrace the Natural You Feature on Live in the D! March Makevoer Madness

I was able to complete a makeover on Gabby, a college student at Wayne State University, who recently did the big chop using all Embrace the Natural You products. Our final style ended up being a twist out which is super easy for anyone to do themselves when taking care of their natural hair at home.

Here is what we did: consultation (hair type, texture, and styling options), Shampoo, deep treatment, corrective cut, and twist out style. We also did eyebrows and full face makeup.

  • Frothing Cleanser
  • Tress Treatment Masque (deep treatment for 15 minutes under dryer with shower cap)
  • Twist Truffle Whip (as a leave in and to moisturize)
  • Whipped Crème Icing (to lock in moisture when twisting)
  • Tress Refresh Curl Mist (to dampen sections that got dry while styling on damp hair)
  • Trinity Glaze (for shine and separating twists)
This was such a pleasure! Gabby was awesome and open to trying something new.  She even tried to do a couple of twists herself which I walked her through doing and she totally mastered them. I instructed her on how to maintain the style which would include a satin bonnet with the length she has overnight and in the morning use her fingers (lubricate with oil first) to pull the hair back out and a comb to lift the roots.
