Shea Moisture Cowash Cleanser – Product Review

I can’t believe how long I sat on this product before trying it. I haven’t been a huge fan of cowashing because typically when I Cowash I haven’t liked the performance of my curls as they typically appear dull.

I’ve tried many Cowash cleansers in the past but I was super impressed with the SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Co-wash Conditioning Cleanser! It was creamy, lightly scented, had tons of slip for quick and easy detangling, and I just loved it. I’ve used it a couple of times and would definitely repurchase. I didn’t need to use a lot which was great as well. My hair was left moist and shiny and my curls were definitely showing out!

The ingredients were pretty good and the price was fair. It’s easily accessible too since I picked it up from Target during one of the BOGO sales.

Ingredients – Deionized water , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) , Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter , Cetyl Esters , Kaolin Clay , Grapeseed Oil , Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba) , Behentrimonium Chloride , Hibiscus Sabdariffa Extract , Salix Alba (Willow Bark) Extract , Melia Azadirachta Seed Oil (Neem) , Sorbitol Esters , Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice , Tocopherol (Vitamin E) , African Black Soap Extract , Sea Salt , Rosemary Extract , Caprylyl Glycol

I opted for a twist out after using this product and the results were great as I typically seem to have a lot of frizz present after cowashing. I also think the kaolin Clay and African black soap extract offset all the other moisturizers in this product wonderfully.

Have you used this product before?

Another good Cowash cleanser I can recommend is NATURALICIOUS 5-in-1 Moroccan Rhassoul Clay Treatment which leaves my hair clean and buttery soft!
