So everyone knows I love the Naturalista Juicy Leave In Conditioner which is more like a styling butter to me and everyone knows I’m not crazy about the price so I typically have made purchases during sales like on Black Friday. I have already reviewed the Naturalista Juicy Leave In Conditioner and the Juicy Elixer. I have used the AloeFlax gel for my edges but never for full fledged styling.

See ingredients below. So I’ve had great twist outs and well conditioned, soft and manageable hair with the Juicy Leave In and the Elixer so I got to thinking what would happen if I layered the AloeFlax gel on top?

Here is my regimen this time…
*Cleanser – Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Sampoo
*Deep Conditioner – NATURALICIOUS Rhassoul Clay Deep Treatment
*Leave In – Naturalista Juicy Elixer
*Sealant – Naturalista Juicy Leave In Conditioner
*Styler / Gel – Naturalista AloeFlax

I started styling on damp hair and created 10-12 twists. For each twist I used products in this order>>>Elixer, a Leave In, and then the gel.

Results? They were amazing! The gel is kind of snotty and more runny than say the Kinky Curly Custard and more like the Original a Moxie Just Gel as far as consistency and it wasn’t super sticky. I was impressed at the definition and the same three days of moisture. My hair wasn’t crunchy but soft and moisturized. It wasn’t greasy either.

This remains a quality handmade brand with great ingredients for natural hair especially Type 4. I’ve posted day 1 and 2 results below. Maintenance is the same as always>>>big twists at night are done without adding any additional product and I sleep with a satin scarf (not a bonnet).
