Wow! It was amazing organizing and hosting the 1st Annual Embrace the Natural You, a natural hair and beauty event at the Detroit Historical Museum!

Presenting Sponsors included Original Moxie, Naturalicious, and Transitions Salon! Gift bag sponsors included Texture My Way, Goody, NaturallyCurly.com, Eve Organics, and Jessicurl.

There were 4 workshops and an info panel! Gwen Jimmere, owner of Naturalicious, a natural hair product line, presented “How to Grow Your Fast!”, Wanda Morrison, owner of of Transitions Salon, a full service natural hair salon, presented “Natural Hair and the Salon Experience”, and Ms Kim aka the Healthy Hair Queen, owner of Amari Lucille, a full service salon, discussed protective styling. Lastly, Sandria of Brazen Cosmetics was able to discuss natural and organic makeup!

The information panel was hosted by Coco of FM 98 Detroit! Panelists included 1) CharyJay, natural hair and Beauty Blogger and YouTube VLogger, 2) Gwen Jimmere, owner of Naturalicious, 3) Rachel Blistein, owner of Original Moxie, 4) Ms Kim aka the Healthy Hair Queen and owner of Amari Lucille, a full service salon, and 5) Wanda Morrison, owner of Transitions Salon. These ladies did an awesome job at answering questions!

The Naturally Flyy Detroit ladies, Etta Flyy and Jennifer Thomas, stopped by as well as Kala G, natural hair and lifestyle blogger and Youtube Vlogger, writer of the KG Lifestyle! Cydara, the artist also stopped by!

So excited to be planning the spring edition! Everyone walked away more educated about their hair and beauty!!! The event was a great opportunity for learning, networking, shopping, eating good bites, and having fun!!!
