*Leave In – Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave In
*Styler – Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave In / Naturalista Cosmetics Aloe Flax Gel

I tried some new products this time around. I began by putting my hair in 4 sections and sprayed each section with water and applied a dollop of shampoo (Lush) and began to scrub my scalp and massage my strands. I went section by section. Less water is wasted this way as this is my 1st wash round. I then washed each section and applied the Shea Moisture shampoo for the 2nd wash round and this was washed out.

My curls were so soft and hydrated. I used two shampoos as I was too chicken to use the Lush shampoo alone as this has sulfates and it was my first time using it. It wasn’t drying at all…I won’t repurchase because of the smell…something chemical -like…I don’t know. My husband begged me to open a window! The Lush shampoo did leave my curls pillow soft and my strands didn’t feel dry at all. Just that smell tho…

Ive come to love my Shea Moisture curl control shampoo as its natural and leaves my curls defined and moisturized, it’s ph balanced, and smells great.

After washing, I grabbed a good ole favorite deep treatment>>>MyHoneyChild Honey Hair Mask>>>from Curlmart.com. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, moisturized and hydrated. I can also detangle with this. I left this on for 45 min and then rinsed.

I then wrapped a T-shirt around my hair and plopped for 10 min to get rid of excess water.

And so…I began styling slightly damp hair. The goal here is a braid out! I divided my hair into sections and went to town :)!

This was my first time using Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Elixer which is a spray leave in conditioner and detangler. This was great as it was very moisturizing and detangled any tangled curls. I then applied my new favorite styler which is my Naturalista Cosmetics Juicy Leave In. It’s more of a butter based styler which I use from root to ends to seal over the Elixer.

I did this process and ended up with about 14 braids. Also as I got about two inches from the bottom of each braid then I began to two strand twist too prevent bushy ends during the take down. I then used the Naturalista Cosmetics Aloe Flax Gel to lay down my edges and crown. It’s a very light natural gel. I like it so far and it seems to have a light to medium hold.

I unraveled the braids the next day. My hair was about 80% dry. Below is 1st and 2nd day hair. It was in the 60’s and 70’s as far as the weather. It was also raining so I got some puffiness but I am good with that. #bighairdontcare

I definitely love my Naturalista Juicy system. 🙂
