I thought I would come talk to you all about sealing!

The purpose of sealing is to lock in moisture in the hair strand. This is vital for hair growth and strength!!! Seal those ends! For me, this is the whole hair shaft not including my scalp.

I’ve been using my little secret weapon known as Karen’s Body Beautiful Butter Love for some time to seal in the moisture. This product doesn’t appear to cause build up and is very light. It’s got great butters in it. I would go on to say that it has assisted in my length retention. My big chop was in April 2012 leavening me with about an 1 1/2 -2 inches of hair. See pics.

See ingredients: Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao) , Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica) , Jojoba Butter (Simmondsia Chinensis), Aloe Butter, Essential and/or Fragrance Oils (Parfum), Grapefruit Seed Oil (Citrus Paradisi) & Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

I typically use it in one of the following ways below:
*grab a dab, emulsify in my hands, and smooth on each section of my hair with 2 hands (in a prayer motion) after using a moisturizer or leave in on freshly washed and conditioned damp hair prior to twisting which doesn’t affect the hold/performance of my other products
*smooth my edges and fly aways
*grab a dab, emulsify in hands, and rub over dry twists prior to take down to minimize frizz and add more shine

I would give it a whirl if you are looking for a light sealer. It’s about $16 for just under 8 oz. I’ve had mine for about a year and I’m not even halfway through the jar!

This shall remain a staple as long as the formula doesn’t change!
